Hello! I’m Dr. Roberto

I’m here to provide expert, compassionate veterinary care for your pets in the comfort of your own home. As a dedicated veterinarian with over 20 years of experience, I know how stressful traditional vet visits can be for both pets and their owners. That’s why I offer personalized, high-quality in-home care to help your pet stay healthy and happy, all while reducing the stress of traveling to a clinic.

As a passionate and experienced veterinarian, I am committed to providing the highest level of care to pets in the Puerto Vallarta area. I believe in building strong, lasting relationships with my patients and their owners. My approach to veterinary care is built on trust, compassion, and a deep understanding of animal health. Whether it's routine care, treatment for illness, or helping your pet through their final moments, I’m here to offer professional, personalized care every step of the way. Emergency & Critical Care

In an emergency, every second counts. I'll come to your home to perform triage and stabilize your pet. For crucial diagnostics, I can arrange in-home X-rays in addition to other advanced diagnostic options like ultrasounds or MRIs are available. If surgery or hospitalization is needed, I'll personally transport your pet to a clinic where I have privileges, ensuring a seamless transition and my continuous care.

Wellness & Preventive Care

Proactive care is key to a long and healthy life for your pet. I offer comprehensive annual wellness exams, all necessary vaccinations, and expert advice on nutrition and parasite prevention for fleas, ticks, and heartworms.

Senior Pet Care

As your pet ages, their health needs change. I provide tailored care to address the unique challenges of senior pets, including monitoring and managing conditions like arthritis, kidney disease, and dental issues, to ensure their golden years are comfortable and happy.

Sick Visits & Diagnostics

When your pet isn't feeling well, I come to you. From minor illnesses to more serious concerns, I can diagnose and treat their condition in the comfort of your home. This includes a thorough physical exam and recommendations for further diagnostics if needed.

Pain Management & Palliative Care

For pets with chronic conditions or terminal illnesses, I provide pain management and palliative care to ensure they remain comfortable and maintain the best quality of life possible.

End-of-Life Care & Support

Saying goodbye is never easy. I offer compassionate in-home euthanasia, allowing your pet to pass peacefully and with dignity in a familiar setting.

2. In-Home Visit

On the day of your appointment, I’ll come to your home fully equipped to examine and treat your pet. I’ll take the time to thoroughly assess your pet’s health and provide any treatments or recommendations as needed.

3. Comprehensive Care

During the visit, I’ll walk you through my findings, explain any diagnoses, and discuss treatment options with you. Your pet’s health is my priority, and I’ll ensure you feel informed and confident in their care.

4. Ongoing Support

After the visit, I’ll provide follow-up care and advice. I’m always available to answer any questions and offer ongoing support for your pet’s health.

FAQs

  • What areas do you serve? I provide in-home veterinary services in Puerto Vallarta and surrounding areas. For locations outside of Puerto Vallarta, a travel surcharge will apply.
  • What is your Consultation Fee? Consultation fees for Puerto Vallarta start at $700 MXN during regular business hours. Monday through Saturday 9am-7pm.
  • What does your Consultation Fee include? I will provide the initial dose of medication to stabilize or treat your pet during my visit. Please note that subsequent prescriptions are not included.
  • How can I book an appointment? There are three easy ways to book an appointment: Fill out the Appointment Request form online, and I'll contact you to schedule a time. Send a WhatsApp message to +52 322 888 8888 or call me at +52 322 888 8888. I check messages often and will get back to you as soon as possible.
  • What Forms of Payment do you accept? I accept Cash, Visa, Mastercard and Bank transfers.
  • What information do you need from me? Please describe your pet's issue and, if it's an emergency or involves a wound, sending photos is helpful. I also need your address and location, which you can send via WhatsApp or text.
  • What if my pet needs emergency care? I offer urgent care during normal business hours and after-hours. It is best to call me or send me a WhatsApp or text message.
  • How quickly can you arrive in an emergency? I prioritize emergency calls and will advise you of my estimated arrival time. This may occasionally cause a delay for a scheduled appointment, but I will let you know as soon as possible and appreciate your understanding.
  • How should I prepare for an in-home visit? Please ensure your pet is in a comfortable space where I can easily examine them. If your pet is on any medications or has specific health concerns, it’s helpful to provide that information before the visit.
  • What types of pets do you treat? I offer services for dogs, cats, reptiles and small animals. If you have an exotic pet, feel free to contact me for more information.

Thanks to Dr. Roberto and his quick response, I was able to get back to the states with my dog after our week long stay in Puerto Vallarta. Having arrived at the airport not knowing about a new regulation (whereby my dog needed a new, specific veterinary certification) I was unable to get onto my flight. With less than one hour to spare before my flight took off, Dr. Roberto DROVE TO THE AIRPORT, gave my dog an exam and provided me with the appropriate documentation.
